When the waters began to erupt from the earth and pour
from the skies, only then did the people of Noah’s day realize the truth!
But it was too late! As Noah and his sons hewed the wood, sealed with
pitch and followed God’s exact plans for the ark, people laughed and
ignored Noah, a righteous man who believed in, had faith in, and trusted
in God. Furthermore, he obeyed God! (Genesis 6-8) A man whom for 120 years
preached God’s looming judgment, but the people didn’t care because they
were too consumed with fulfilling their wicked thoughts and evil lusts! In
their minds, they didn’t need God!
These people were too busy satisfying ‘self’, going about
their lives giving no thought to God. They thought only of themselves, driven by
a steady need for self-gratification, self-promotion, self-satisfaction. Their
every thought came from hearts filled with rebellion. “…every imagination of the
thoughts of his (man’s) heart was only evil continually.” (Genesis 6:5/Mark
7:21-23) It cannot be denied that today we are living and thinking in like
manner, with evil thoughts coming from darkened hearts: sexual depravity,
abortion, homosexuality, same-sex marriage, living together outside of marriage,
fornication, Christian persecution. All acceptable behaviors in a world
revolving without God! People, we much wake-up and realize the days in which we
live…the days which Jesus said would be“… as the days of Noe were, so shall also
the coming of the Son of man be.” (Matthew 24:37-39) We are living in the latter
days!
Not only were Noah’s days given as an example of man’s
condition prior to The Second Coming of Christ, but so were the days of Lot!
(Luke 17-28-30) These people not only lived thinking only of self, but they were
“giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh.” (Jude 7)
Because Lot’s days are also a sign of the end-times, the world’s insatiable
appetite for sex (any kind) and homosexuality is a decisive indicator that the
first phase (the Rapture and Tribulation) of Christ’s Second Coming is very
near! Clearly, at no other time in history have perverse sexual behavior,
homosexuality and lesbianism been so readily accepted, even encouraged, as it is
today! Bluntly stated, our country, our world, is no longer functioning with a
moral compass! Neither were the people of Noah’s and Lot’s day, and destruction
followed!
With each passing day our world becomes more violent, more
self-absorbed, more sexually vulgar, more self-serving, and more anti-God!
Apostle Paul warned that in the last days “…men shall be lovers of their own
selves”, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents,
unthankful, unholy, without natural affection,. Trucebreakers, false accusers,
incontinent (unchaste), despisers of those that are good,;……lovers of pleasures
more than lovers of God; having a form of godliness, but denying the power
thereof:……ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.”
(II Timothy 3:1-7) “There is no fear of God before their eyes.” (Romans 3:18)
What an apt description of today’s world!
Although we have no modern-day Noah to preach about the
approaching judgment, we have God’s biblical prophecies that clearly point to
the time in which we live; the last days before the glorious Second Coming of
Jesus Christ! But immediately BEFORE this magnificent event, the Rapture (I
Thessalonians 4:16-18; I Corinthians 15:51-53), immediately followed by the
Tribulation Period (Revelation 6-18), will occur.
When the Rapture trump sounds, every born-again believer will
be Heaven-bound, caught up in the clouds and away from a world ruled by those
who have abandoned God! Unbelievers, however, will be bound to a world that has
willingly corrupted decency, scoffed at morality, devalued human life, made a
mockery out of God’s plan of sexual purity, refuses the biblical union of
marriage, celebrates homosexuality, and has contaminated God’s Word through
false teachings, altered Bibles and worldly entertainment, and encouraged hatred
toward true believers of Christ! Unbeliever, after the Rapture, as you are left
standing on earth’s soil, you will tremble at the wrath of an angry God and face
earth-shattering terrors never before experienced by mankind!
Soon our world will face cataclysmic events, events so
terrifying that Jesus said “…except those days should be shortened, there should
no flesh be saved…:” (Matthew 24:22). It is, therefore, vital that we heed the
prophetic warnings that are gathering on the horizon as our world continues to
change, and not for the better! (Matthew 24) With every stroke of the clock the
stage is being set for the glorious Second Coming of the Lord! But the
terrifying Tribulation will come before!
I, as a born-again believer, am eagerly looking up! If you’re
not awaiting His return, I warn…Don’t be left behind like those running to the
ark, only to find the door already shut by God!
“Seek ye the Lord while he may be found, call ye upon him
while he is near.” (Isaiah 55:6)
