Subject: Prophecy
DON’T QUESTION
BIBLICAL PROPHECY

We live in an ominous
time; a time of questionable leadership; a time of dwindling morality and a time
of economic chaos. Governmental control is ever increasing and people fret over
their tomorrows. Questions abound!
Is socialism knocking at
the door? Is a one-world government shaping up in the shadows? With Iran
rattling the sabers of nuclear warfare, will there be a mass destruction?
The truth is … God, not
man is in control! Therefore, to find calm and understanding in today’s world of
frightening confusion and growing unrest we must turn to Scripture and place
complete trust in God’s Divine Word, His entire Word! This includes Bible
prophecy which encompasses approximately one third of the Bible.
Yes, Bible prophecy! If
it were not pertinent, God would not have provided us with 16 prophetic books in
the Old Testament and four such books in the New Testament. Nor would He have
given us prophetic passages such as the Olivet Discourse (Matthew 24 and 25).
Do not allow skepticism
to taint sane reasoning concerning biblical prophecy. Examine prophecies such as
the Messianic (Jesus’ birth, life and death) prophecies or the wonderful
fulfillment of Jesus’ resurrection as foretold in Psalm 16:10, or the
fulfillment of Ezekiel 37:21-22. “Behold, I (the Lord) will take the
children of Israel (Jews) from among the heather…and gather them on every
side and will bring them to their own land (Israel).” This prophecy
recorded in 570 B.C. was fulfilled in 1948 when Israel became a nation! Each of
these above listed prophecies is 100 percent accurate in its fulfillment and is
unconditionally validated by history!
Unlike man’s
catastrophic scenarios such as the 1999 Y2K fiasco, the so-called looming 2012
apocalypse with its hypothesis based solely on the Mayan calendar or
Nostradamus’s vague doomsday quatrains (with only an estimated seven percent
accuracy rate), only Scripture is a hundred percent precise and exact in its
fulfillment!
Since Almighty God
divinely inspired the Bible, be assured that when the Bible declares that the
believers in Christ will be caught up to meet him in the air (the Rapture), this
event will transpire. This prophecy, like every other prophecy, will be
fulfilled! “Then we which are
alive and remain shall be caught up together with the in the clouds, to meet the
Lord in the air.” (I Thessalonians 4:13-18)
When the Book of
Revelation explicitly details the impending horrors facing the inhabitants of
earth during the Tribulation Period (after the Rapture), remember past
prophecies and their 100 percent accuracy rate.
Where Revelation informs
that one man, the Antichrist, will establish complete tyrannical control over
the world’s economy, religion and government, be completely convinced that a
one-world government will happen (Matthew 24:9-31; Revelation chapter 6-19).
Peruse the Books of
Daniel, Ezekiel and Jeremiah and discover the nations’ end-time events currently
unfolding especially in the Middle East! Bible prophecy is real and exact! “For
the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake
as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.” (II Peter 1:21)
The study of the Bible
and its prophecies instructs us to look away from the corrupt world and to
eagerly anticipate the prophesied Second Coming of Christ. “Looking for that
blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Savior Jesus
Christ.” (Titus 2:13, 14; Revelation 19) Is it any wonder that believers
exhibit hope and excited anticipation in tandem with inner peace in a wicked
world rife with apostasy? (II Timothy 3:1-5,7)
Without knowledge of
God’s Word, without Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, unbelievers have NO
comfort, no rest, and no hope from the worries of today or from God’s wrath of
tomorrow!
Sadly, they have no hope
of escaping the prophesied Great White Throne Judgment that awaits those who
choose to live without the Lord in this life! This is prophesied judgment will
cast the rejecters of Christ into eternal separation from God and into
everlasting damnation. (Revelation 14:9-11; 20:11-15)
As the fulfillment of
prophecy steadily moves toward completion, are we looking up, eagerly awaiting a
joyous reunion with our Savior, or looking down at an eternity of fiery
damnation? We can dismiss Bible prophecy as silly Armageddon babble, or readily
and sincerely accept every word ! It is our individual choice!
“Behold, I am coming
quickly. Blessed is he who takes to heart the words
(every word) of the prophecy of this
book (Bible).” (Revelation
22:7)
