Why are people who call out for tolerance and
diversity, not acting in like manner toward others? We hear Hollywood rant about
our president-elect. We see Old Glory go up in flames! We watch protesters riot,
and see the Democratic side of the aisle in a tailspin! We hear a celebrity
express thoughts of bombing the White House, while others recite filth! Where in
these actions do we see tolerance? Why can’t or don’t people see that diversity
and tolerance swing both ways? But…God is NOT surprised!
Unfortunately, an alarming number of people do not
believe that tolerance and diversity apply to Christians, and are, therefore,
eager to shut down the voice of those who support genuine Christianity! Many in
our society, and in our government, desire a godless agenda, making no room for
oppositional thinking, no room for diversity, no room for Christianity! Those
angrily marching across the nation, and yelling the loudest are deaf to opposing
opinions, and blind to honest opposition, especially opposition by Christians!
Although every American has the right to protest, to declare their opposition
against or approval for any issue, a large majority ignore such truth by
allowing tolerance to swing but one way, their way, the leftist way!
That is why our country finds itself in a
frightening tug-of-war between liberals and conservatives, between believers and
unbelievers. While a political battle is being fought, a much deadlier war is
raging! An ugly, evil war…God against Satan! God created life. Satan works to
destroy it! God created male and female. Satan is blurring sexual gender! God
mandated marriage between one man and one woman. Satan destroys this institution
by tearing down natural human sexuality! With alarming speed, America is losing
its battle against godliness as it swings toward the destructive liberal
mentality! But… God is NOT surprised! In fact, we are informed in John 15:18
that "If the world hate you ye know that it hated me (Jesus) before it hated
you." (John 15:18)
Barack Obama our 44th president, stated
that "Whatever we once were, we are no longer a Christian nation, at least, not
just. We are also a Jewish nation, a Muslim nation, a Buddhist nation, and a
Hindu nation, and a nation of nonbelievers!" That is clear testimony as to our
country’s increasingly apathetic attitude toward genuine Christianity! It has
now become nothing more than just another ‘religion’. Obama also declared that
he "fundamentally disagrees with the notion of discriminating against
individuals because of their faith or religion", why, then, did he demand that a
symbol of Jesus be covered-up during one of his speaking engagements? His
actions spoke louder than his words!
Those against Donald Trump are furious because he
is ‘cut from a different cloth’, far different from Barack Obama. Perhaps the
possibility of President Trump bringing Christian values back to America is at
the core of today’s public outcry! He speaks of persecuted Christians around the
world. He speaks of protecting our nation, and is not afraid to mention Islamic
terrorism. Neither is he politically or financially indebted to anyone! Nor is
he afraid to have his wife read the Lord’s Prayer in front of several thousand
people! This act angered liberals and atheists alike, yet when Hillary Clinton
called those outside her camp, ‘deplorable’, irredeemable and racist, and stated
that religious (Christian) beliefs need to be changed, God was not surprised.
Donald Trump’s ascension to the Oval Office sent
shock waves across our nation, but, unlike much of the media, God wasn’t taken
by surprise! Donald Trump did not accidentally become the President of
the United States! Vast numbers prayed for God’s guidance, and took II
Chronicles 7:14 to heart! "If my people, which are called by my name, shall
humble themselves and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways;
then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their
land." Many sought the Lord and He heard, and, in His sovereignty, the Lord
allowed Donald Trump to be our 45th President!
Has Donald Trump accepted Jesus Christ as his
personal savior? Only God Knows! Will President Trump bring Christian values
into his policy making and political decisions, I pray so! I do know, however,
that whatever unfolds across our nation, good or bad, God has already
determined, and we have no need for panic or fear! "Remember the former things
of old: for I am God, and there is none else; I am God, and there is none like
me, Declaring the end from the beginning (foretelling future events accurately),
and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel
shall stand and I will do all my pleasure (purpose/plan)." (Isaiah 46:9-10)
Regardless of what one thinks of our President-elect, for better or worse, he
now occupies the Oval Office.
Hallelujah, God holds the world in His hands and He
knows all, and controls all! Thus, the believers in Christ can faithfully say,
"If God be for us, who can be against us." (Romans 8:32) If not a believer, the
Lord is waiting for you! "Whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be
saved!" (Acts 2:21)
