“A thing may be morally wrong, and yet be legally right.” This quote unequivocally states the mentality of our decaying nation. In 1962/1963 prayer was removed from schools; abortion, with limitations, was legalized in 1973. Society’s complete acceptance of homosexuality occurred in 2015 when same-sex marriage was legalized. Although no specific legalization for the transgender lifestyle and sex changes have been enacted, society is accommodating and accepting. Legalizing marijuana for medical purposes has morphed into sanctioning this drug for recreational use; possibly a gateway to other drugs. Our society via ungodly court rulings, along with liberal government maneuvering and intervention, is successfully stomping out genuine Christianity by legalizing behaviors and actions declared wrong by God.

Folks, we are living in perilous (dangerous/full of risks) times! Open the Bible and read what Paul wrote around 66-67 AD concerning the last days (days in which we live leading up to the rapture of born-again believers (I Thessalonians 4:16,17). Writing under divine inspiration of God, Paul tells us in II Timothy 3:1-6 “That in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, without natural affection (hard-hearted, without feeling; Romans 1:24), truce-breakers, false accusers, incontinent (without self-control), fierce, despisers of those that are good. Traitors, heady (reckless/irresponsible), high minded (consumed with self-pride), lovers of pleasure more than lovers of God.” Unfortunately, conditions will only worsen. “… evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse deceiving and being deceived” (II Timothy 3:13) Worsening, indeed!

One month into year 2019, the Governor of New York enacted a law allowing abortion to be performed up to minutes before a baby’s birth. People, including me, were stunned, yet many readily accepted this new law, with other states hoping to approve the same law. Even more barbaric was the suggestion given by the Governor of Virginia who suggested infanticide.

Whatever the reason given for abortion, with serious medical issues during a pregnancy set aside, there can be NO reason. Taking a life is playing God!

Also, in January , the Speaker of the House of Representatives gave priority to the Equality Act. This Act would permit a child, who wants to ‘change’ his or her gender, to be taken from the child’s parents and given gender surgery. (Please Note: Those born with gender dysphoria, a mixture of both male and female chromosomes and hormonal changes in the womb, is a totally separate issue.)

In January, as well, those in the House of Representatives presented a draft wanting to delete the phrase ‘so help me God’ from the oath taken before testifying. While many may attempt through word and deed to erase God, God was, is and always Will Be! (Psalm 90:2; 14:1) This draft also revealed the intention to delete gender-specific pronouns, replacing ‘his or her’ with ‘their’, and ‘Chairman’ with ‘Chair.” Changing gender pronouns shows the ignorance of man! “God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.” (Genesis 1:27) MAN/HE/HIM. WOMAN/SHE/ HER. Regardless of calling a person by a different pronoun, or condoning sex-reversal surgery, a person’s DNA, according to science, remains the same gender throughout life, and nothing man attempts can change the gender with which one is born.

So, what lies ahead? Persecution! (II Timothy 3:12) Characterizing God’s standards as wrong and an affront to human legal rights, will intensify. Religious apostasy will spread. Continued efforts to remove any true Christian representation in public will increase. Believers will endure growing rejection and mounting intolerance due to their witnessing about the saving grace of Jesus Christ. (Romans 3:24-26) Nevertheless, we born-again believers are eagerly “Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ” (Titus 2:13/I Thessalonians 4:17) Eternal happiness!

For the unbeliever, “Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness;…” (Isaiah 5:20) Come out of the darkness into the light of Jesus Christ! (John 8:8:12) Eternal torment!
