A vast majority of people look at God’s Plan of Salvation as
being too complicated. For this reason I wish to explain the simplicity, yes
simplicity, of God’s eternal plan of salvation, while at the same time, attempt
to unravel the fallacy of universal salvation. But first, we must realize the
authenticity of God’s Word! Without it, the continual stream of man’s
hocus-pocus oratory will cause us to arrive at false and damning conclusions!
Simply put…every unbeliever is in grave danger of entering the gates of Hell!
Praise God, the way to escape such calamity is found in His Word!
But man in his eagerness to avoid God gladly accepts the
rationale that the Bible is too harsh, too difficult to understand, too extreme
to be taken literally, regardless of the Bible’s many proofs revealing its
complete truthfulness and authenticity as revealed by fulfilled prophecy,
historical accuracy, archeology finds, and on-going discoveries in various
scientific fields. Nevertheless, people allow their preacher or priest to do
their thinking and they become complacent, never searching God’s Word for the
truth, thereby allowing Satan to successfully seduce them from the Lord! Thusly
“It is better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in man.” (Psalm 118:8)
Thankfully, the simplicity of God’s plan of salvation begins
with understanding the word ‘all’. Pay attention to this little, yet mighty word
in the following, easily understood verses! “Wherefore, as one man (Adam) sin
entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon ALL men, for
that ALL have sinned. (Romans 5:12) “But the scripture hath concluded ALL (are)
under sin.” (Galatians 3:22a) “… ALL have sinned and come short of the glory of
God” (Romans 3:23) Sin encompasses ALL of humanity. There are no exceptions!
So, because we are sinners, and our hearts are blackened by
sin, we offend God by breaking His Law, a law that reflects God’s righteous,
holy and perfect character! (Psalm 145:17) Simply stated, we are ‘law breakers’,
and, therefore, must pay sin’s price! “For the wages of sin is death;…” (Romans
6:23a)
But how do we pay such a debt? Do we attempt to be a perfect
neighbor, caring friend, loving parent, loyal spouse, devoted church-goer, and
faithful to church rituals? In God’s eyes our works are as filthy rags (Isaiah
64:6) The simple truth is, we can’t pay the debt, but God can! “For what the law
could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God did sending His own
Son…’” (Romans 8:3-4) “…Behold, The Lamb of God, who taketh away the sin of the
world. (John 1:29b)
ALL of us need to escape God’s righteous wrath or face
damnation, and there is but one way… God’s way! We must put aside our pride, our
stubbornness, our disbelief and earnestly open our hearts to the simple truth
that Jesus Christ died for you and me! “For He hath made him (Jesus) to be sin
for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.”
(ll Corinthians 5:21) “Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the
tree, that we being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness…..”(I Peter
2:24). Please understand… God sent His Son to die for each of us, to pay our sin
debt, to be the atonement for our sins! To provide everlasting life to those who
will freely accept His gift of salvation! Still, many reject Him!
Each of know how easy it is to accept a gift. Ask yourself,
then, why do we refuse the life-giving gift of eternal life! “For by grace are
you saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is a gift of God; not of
works lest any man should boast.’ (Ephesians 2:8-9) It is free, and it is
forever! We don’t have to search spiritual pathways or be baptized or tithe or
sing in the choir, or……! We have simply to BELIEVE! Jesus said “…I am the
resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet
shall he live.” (John 11:25) Conversely, those who don’t believe in Him will
face the eternal torments of Hell! “He that believeth on him is NOT condemned:
but he that believeth NOT is condemned already, because he hath NOT believed in
the name of the only begotten Son of God.” (John 3:18) In a nutshell, salvation
is solely based on one’s faith and belief in Jesus’ death, burial and
resurrection! (John 11:25)
Now, you say because God is love He wouldn’t send millions to
Hell because of their unbelief. So, if there is universal salvation, why would a
loving God allow His Son to suffer an agonizing death for no purpose? But,
because there is no universal salvation, there was a purpose! He allowed Jesus
to suffer so you and I won’t have to! (Romans 5:8) God will not overlook the
guilty (Romans 1:18) but because of Calvary He will forever forgive those who
believe in the shed blood of Jesus Christ! Believe!
