A WORLD WITHOUT GOD IS COMING
As we watch America’s greatness vanish through ever widening
cracks of ungodliness, man will soon have the world he wants: A world with one
global government, one monetary system, one apostate religion and a humanistic
culture, and America will be part of it!
Our country has reached a point where God is all but
forgotten! Prayer has long been banned from the schools, Bibles are being
revised to fit man’s thinking, not God’s; crosses are being taken down by court
rulings; churches are closing for lack of attendance, and any religion is
acceptable as long as it isn’t true Christianity!
Our political system is in shambles, the economy is out of
control, morality and ethics are being tossed aside, and scriptural truths are
being stomped out by damning apostasy! Dishonest men interested only in their
perks and powers are running the government, and the “little guy’s’” ability to
speak out for both his constitutional liberties and Christian beliefs is being
squashed under the guise of tolerance. Our government is stalking peoples’
freedoms and making giant strides toward its goal of controlling all its
citizens - a step toward global governing - and this will be achieved, but not
in the manner by which man envisions. Instead of a one-world unity or universal
peace, destruction is coming! “ He (God) increases the nations, and destroys
them …” (Job 12:23)
Paul-Henri Spaak, first president of the United Nations
General Assembly, stated “… What we want is a man of sufficient stature to hold
the allegiance of all the people and to lift us up out of the economic morass
into which we are sinking. Send us such a man, and whether he be God or devil,
we will receive him.” Not only the United Nations, but the entire world, will be
granted this wish, and the person the world welcomes will not be God, but the
devil – the Antichrist. This man will, indeed, have ‘sufficient stature’ for he
will be indwelt with the power of Satan. (II Thessalonians 2:9)
The Antichrist will, for a time, effectively camouflage his
evil persona. He’ll be brilliant in Speech (Daniel 7:20b), Economics (Daniel
11:43/ Revelation 13:16-17); Religion (II Thessalonians 2:3,4) and Military
know-how (Revelation 13:4). To better summarize the Antichrist’s character, here
is an analogy by Bible lecturer Dr. H.L. Willmington. The Antichrist will
possess …”The leadership of a Washington and Lincoln; the eloquence of a
Franklin Roosevelt; the charm of a Teddy Roosevelt; the charisma of a Kennedy;
the popularity of an Ike; the political savvy of a Johnson; the intellect of a
Jefferson.”
But before the Antichrist can begin his reign, every believer
in Christ must be raptured, caught up to meet the Lord in the clouds. (I
Thessalonians 4:15-18/II Thessalonians 2:3-4) Once the Rapture occurs there’ll
be no voice speaking out against ungodliness, and people will gladly follow the
Antichrist. However, jubilation will be brief as God unleashes the most
terrifying time in human history…the Tribulation Period, seven years of horror.
(Revelation 6-19) There will be starvation, death, pestilences, darkness,
poisoned water, and much, much more! “For the wrath of God is revealed from
heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in
unrighteous;” (Romans 1:18)
The Antichrist will promise to bring peace and, upon signing
a covenant with Israel, he will appear successful. At the Tribulation’s midway
point, however, the ‘united’ world man so craved will transform into a world of
unparalleled terror! (Mark 13:19-20) The Antichrist will reveal his satanic
nature by reneging on the signed covenant (Daniel 9:27), and by demanding total
allegiance to himself. Exalting himself to be above God (II Thessalonians 2:
3-4), everyone will be required to take his mark (Revelation 13:16-18), thus
cementing their loyalty to him both in commerce and religious worship. Without
the mark, nothing can be purchased, sold or traded, and death will ensue as he
rules with demonic hatred! The Lord, however, will have the FINAL say!
(Revelation 20-21)
We may be unsettled over our changing world, but God is fully
aware of every world event. We must recognize that God isn’t letting history
randomly unfold. Rather He is directing it with visible precision! (Isaiah
46:10) For the first time in history, as last day prophecies converge, we are
watching the world rapidly move along God’s planned trajectory! Believers, there
should be no fear, no worry, as we witness God at work! We should, however,
labor for the lost while we excitedly await the blessed Rapture, and eagerly
anticipate the glorious Second Coming of Christ. (Revelation 19:11-13/Matthew
24:27-31) (Titus 2:13)
Unbelievers, be alarmed, be petrified! Your world holds
nothing but hopelessness, and impending terror. Your eternity holds nothing but
eternal damnation. (Matthew 25:46) But, if, with a contrite heart, “…… thou
shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart
that God hath raised him (Jesus) from the dead, thou shalt be saved” (Romans
10:9). Forever safe in Jesus!
